The official launch of the contest was on the 17th of May. People have been engaging more with the contest compared to the past years. The main aim of the contest is to give Africans a platform to share their stories. The exciting part is that we are not sailing this ship alone this year. We have partnered with different brands, companies, and organizations from different countries to grow storytelling more in Africa. Believing that we as Africans can change the narrative of how Africa is viewed globally.

How to enter
Record a 3 – 5 minute video of yourself telling your original life story
Go to our website page on www. story. africa, fill in the entry form and upload your story
The best stories will be selected to enter into the semi-finals, and thereafter a further 10 stories will be selected to go into the 3rd and final round of the 3rd annual Africa’s Ultimate Storyteller contest
